Waukegan to notify residents before pesticide applications

As of January 1, 2025, Public Act 103-0976 mandates the City of Waukegan to provide written notice at least 24 hours before applying pesticides to public rights-of-way. This includes roads, sidewalks, and storm drains. The mosquito control season in Waukegan spans from May 1 through October 15. All products used are EPA-approved and deemed safe for residential areas.
