Illinois State Representative Travis Weaver and Senator Anderson are holding a school supply drive today in Pekin. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Weaver's Pekin District Office, located at 337 Court St. Community members are encouraged to donate essential school supplies for both teachers and students in the area.
All collected supplies will be distributed to local schools. Weaver stated, "If you would like to donate, please drop off school supply items at my Pekin District Office (337 Court St.)."
Weaver will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the event for anyone wishing to discuss legislative issues or ask questions.
