Tazewell County taxpayers paid the 16th largest sum in sales taxes in May, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, residents paid approximately $1.6 million in sales taxes during May.

The largest share of sales taxes paid by Tazewell County residents in May came from the Special County Retailers Occupation Tax.
