State Representative Travis Weaver is accepting nominations for his Citizen Spotlight program until November 15, 2025. The initiative aims to recognize individuals in the community who have made a positive impact.

"We have had several submissions so far, but we are looking for more!" Weaver said in an announcement. "Do you know somebody in your community who goes above and beyond? We’re always on the lookout for people to recognize, and we need your help!"

Weaver encouraged residents to share stories about people who have contributed positively to their lives or local communities. "We are looking for stories of how someone has positively impacted your life, made a positive impact in your local community, or shined in a way that is worthy of recognition. No story is too small! For example, maybe a neighbor helped you carry in your groceries, or your child made the honor roll for the first time or for the 10th time!"

Those selected will be acknowledged on Weaver's official legislative Facebook page and receive Certificates of Recognition from the Illinois House of Representatives. Nominations can be submitted through an online form provided by Weaver's office.

"Nominations will be accepted through November 15, 2025. We plan to recognize honorees during this Fall and Winter on a regular basis," he stated.

Weaver, a Republican, was elected to represent Illinois' 93rd House District in 2023, succeeding Norine Hammond.
