State Representative Ryan Spain, who has represented Illinois' 73rd House District since 2017, will host several community events in the coming weeks. Spain was elected to the Illinois State House as a Republican, succeeding David R. Leitch.

The first event is a Legislative Q&A scheduled for November 10 at Mason Memorial Public Library in Buda. The session will run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and provide an update on the recent Veto Session. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to Rep. Spain.

On November 25, a Veterans Resources Fair will take place at the Bureau County Metro Center in Princeton from 10 a.m. to noon. According to the announcement, "The free fair will offer helpful guides, literature and other resources from a variety of local organizations, as well as state, county and local government agencies." The event also includes a door prize raffle for attendees and encourages veterans and their families to participate.

Rep. Spain's annual Holiday Diaper Drive is now accepting donations of diapers, baby wipes, and diaper cream through December 12. Donations can be delivered or shipped to his Peoria office or made via an Amazon wish list. All contributions will be distributed among food and diaper pantries within the district. "All donations will be distributed to local food and diaper pantries in our 73rd House District," states the release.

A drive-thru donation event is planned for December 12 at Illinois Central College North Campus – Arbor Hall in Peoria between 10 a.m. and noon.
