Deputy Clerk Courtney Coe of the City of Peoria has been named the recipient of the 2025 Presidential Award for Distinguished Service by the Central Illinois Municipal Clerk’s Organization (CIMCO). Coe has worked in the City Clerk’s Office since 2019 and has served as Deputy Clerk since 2021. The office is responsible for maintaining public records and supporting transparency in city operations.

The CIMCO Presidential Award recognizes a member whose service, initiative, and commitment go beyond expectations. Recipients are chosen by the CIMCO President based on their involvement, reliability, and contributions to advancing efficient clerk operations, collaboration among members, public education, and professional development.

This year, Coe served as Vice President of CIMCO. She was instrumental in organizing key activities such as managing online registration and coordinating speakers for the Back to Basics seminar. These efforts helped increase engagement among members and improved programming at the event.

CIMCO President Nicole Stewart said: "Coe consistently demonstrated initiative, creativity, and reliability. She remained actively involved, asked thoughtful questions, and introduced fresh ideas that enhanced the organization’s work. Her willingness to assist as needed and attention to detail were cited as significant factors in her selection."
