Auburn said this week that its Gas Department will begin upgrade work on gas lines along Jackson Street (Route 104) beginning in early April and lasting possibly into the summer.
The upgrades are being done ahead of a planned road resurfacing by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Some excavation work will require roadblocks for extended periods of time.
Auburn said it will work to make sure the impact to citizens is minimal, and residents with questions or concerns can call 217-438-6151.
