The Barry City Council discussed a citizen's request to extend a city road toward his property during a recent meeting.

Gary Wycislo wants Keller Drive connected to his property and agreed to cover the costs of a gravel base extension toward the property. The council motioned to approve his request and passed it unanimously.

Public Works Director Melvin Gilbert asked the council to change the pay period from every two weeks back to every week and said some employees found this cycle inconvenient.

Additional highlights from the meeting include approval of a resolution to purchase a police car and approval of a plan to seek contract bids for city lawnmowing services.
