The Auburn City Council reviewed bids for sidewalk upgrades around the town square at Monday's meeting.

The council also reviewed an agreement to share costs for various proposed projects with the Illinois Department of Transportation, including the resurfacing of parking lanes, construction of new sidewalks at the IL 4/104 intersection, and installation of sidewalk handicap ramps throughout the city.

The council also discussed an ordinance to schedule a public hearing on a planned Auburn tax-increment financing (TIF) district.

Mayor Barb Stamer also spoke to the council about ordinances on burning and dumping, as well as the upcoming Living History event April 8-9.
