Hanna City Village Council approves ice control invoice

The Hanna City Village Council met  Jan. 20 to approve an ice control invoice.

Council Meeting Minutes

December 20, 2016

The Regular Council Meeting was called to order Mayor ProTem Weaver at 7:30 p.m. with pledge to the flag and a moment of silence to honor those serving our country. Present: Trustees Johnson, Fryxell, Pahl … Attorney Johnson, Engineer Lott, Treasurer Braden and Clerk Klatt.

Guests: None present.

Minutes: Trustee Johnson made motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on

December 6, 2016, as presented … Seconded by Trustee Pahl … all ayes … motion carried.

Treasurer's Report: After discussion, Johnson made motion to accept Treasurer's Reports and pay all outstanding bills … Fryxell seconded. ROLL CALL VOTE: Johnson: yes, Fryxell: yes, Pahl: yes, Weaver: yes … motion carried.

Engineer's Report (Lott): Have sent draft of response to IEPA re annual Water System Evaluation report to Water Committee and Jim Swearingen … response due mid-January. Received letter from IDOT requesting facilities along proposed route … will bring plat and hard copy of plans.

Attorney’s Report (Connor): Annexations: Have contacted Trust Company and waiting for them to get back with us.

Finance (Hoopingarner): Nothing to report … Hoopingarner absent.

Streets & Alleys (Weaver): Approved Invoice No. 116528 from N. E. Finch Co. for ice control slag in amount of $40.90 … to be paid from MFT funds.

Sewer (Pahl): Nothing to report.

Police & Planning (Johnson): Received 13 incident reports.

Water (Fryxell): Will get hard copy of revised ordinance to include tampering with water meters and shut off valves as proposed to Water Committee and Jim Swearingen for review before requesting approval from Council.

Buildings & Grounds (Stear): After discussion, Fryxell made motion to approve Ordinance 16-12-02 An Ordinance Approving the Sale of Surplus Personal Property of the Village … Johnson seconded. ROLL CALL VOTE: Fryxell: yes, Pahl: yes, Weaver: yes, Johnson: yes … motion carried.

Trustee Fryxell will work on surplus computers to make sure they have information erased before selling them.

Other: Council asked to be thinking of budget priorities for next year.

Meeting adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
