Village of Brimfield Board of Trustees met Monday, Feb. 6.

The Village of Brimfield Board of Trustees meeting was called to order on Monday February 6, 2016, at 7:00 pm by Senior Board Member B. Porter with roll call attendance: A. Porter-present, Meinders-present, Gillespresent,
Arbogast-present, Dye-present, and B. Porter-present. Attorney Johnson, Attorney Atkins, and Clerk Johnson were also present.
The minutes of the January 2, 2017 regular meeting were presented for approval Meinders made the motion
Arbogast seconded the motion carried 6 to 0.
The January 2017 Treasurer’s Report was presented for filing A. Porter made the motion seconded by Gilles to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried 6 to 0.
The January 2017 bills were presented for payment with a motion by Dye seconded by Meinders. Roll call vote: A. Porter-yes, Meinders-yes, Gilles-yes, Arbogast-yes, Dye-yes and B. Porter-yes. Motion carried 6 to 0.
Old Business- none
New Business- St. Jude Fishing Derby requests permission to use the Village Park on Sunday June 4, 2017 for their annual St. Jude fundraiser. Arbogast made the motion seconded by Gilles motion carried.
Ordinance 2017-2 Approving a contract with Medicacom for yearly franchise fees to equal 2% of annual gross sales. Meinders made the motion seconded by Arbogast to approve the ordinance. Roll Call vote: A. Porteryes,
Meinders-yes, Gilles-yes, Arbogast-yes, Dye-yes and B. Porter-yes Motion approved 6 to 0.
Dye made the motion seconded by Arbogast to send out compliance hearing notices and approve shut-offs as necessary. Motion carried 6 to 0.
B. Porter made the motion to enter into Executive Session citing 5ILCS 120/2(c)11 of the Illinois Municipal Code regarding pending litigation, Meinders seconded roll call vote: A. Porter-yes, Meinders-yes, Gilles-yes,
Arbogast-yes, Dye-yes, and B. Porter-yes. Motion carries 6 to 0. It was noted that no actions will be taken as a result of the executive session after the regular session is resumed. All visitors left and the executive session was entered into at this time.
The regular session resumed. Arbogast made a motion to adjourn seconded by Gilles. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.
The next Village Board of Trustees meeting is Monday March 6, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Village Hall.
