Chillicothe City Council met Nov. 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

Mayor Donald Z. White and President Harry Miller called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Chairman White directed Clerk Hurd to take roll.

Present: Mayor Donald Z. White

City Clerk Margaret Hurd

Aldermen: Dean Braun, Danny Colwell,

Patricia Connor, Dennis Gould,

Michael Hughes, Jeffrey Jenkins,

Gary Sharp, James Thornton

Chairman White declared a Quorum present.

President of the Chillicothe Fire Protection District Board, Harry Miller directed Secretary Sommer to take roll.

Present: President Harry Miller

Secretary Sommer

Treasurer Kevin Peterson

Trustees: Steve Meister

Absent: Mike Molleck

Also Present: Office Manager Karen Moewe

President Miller declared a Quorum present.

Chairman White asked if there was anyone in the audience that would like to address the Council or the Board of Trustees. There were none.

Motion Alderman Colwell, second Alderman Gould that the Council adjourn into closed session at 6:08PM for Personnel Section 2 C 1 and allow the board members of the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection District Board and Karen Moewe, employee of the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection District Board to attend. Upon returning from closed session possible action may be taken.

Roll Call Vote was:

Ayes: Braun, Colwell, Connor, Gould, Hughes, Jenkins, Sharp, Thornton

Nays: None

Chairman declared motion carried.

Motion Trustee Peterson, second Trustee Sommer that the District Board adjourn into closed session at 6:08PM and allow the board members of the Chillicothe City Council and Karen Moewe, employee of the rChillicothe Community Fire Protection District Board to attend.

Roll Call Vote was:

Ayes: Miller, Meister, Peterson, Sommer

Nays: None

President Miller declared motion carried.

Council and Board of Trustee returned to open session at 7:37 P.M.

Chairman White announced that the Council members wanted to meet with candidate Van Thompson before the December 11th council meeting when appointment of a Fire Chief will be placed on the council meeting agenda.

Chairman White stated that the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection Board will vote for a Fire Chief at the December 18th meeting.

Chairman White withdrew agenda item Appointment of Fire Chief.

President Miller withdrew agenda item Appointment of Fire Chief.

Chairman White announced that there being no further business the Council meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
