7. Reports

a. Code Enforcement Officer Davis reported:

i. A Permit List was presented all the permits given out during 2017. Considering this and because there will be updates to the fee schedule, Chair Dohm asked the Committee for comments on whether driveways and demolitions of driveways, as well as swimming pools and fences for them ought to be one permit fee instead of two.

ii. Work Order List: There is no Work Order List at this season of the year.

iii. Nuisance Properties: Two memos were given to the Committee - one Officer Wallace is working on, and another from Officer Davis and the latest update on the properties.

iv. Updates to fee schedules: City Administrator Krider said the fee schedule updates should be coming soon.

Mayor Dillon left the meeting at 7:01 p.m.

8. old Business

a. Review Vacant Properties List was presented to the Committee.

b. Inventory List – A review date needs to be placed on this to ensure it is done annually, usually in June.

c. Home Occupation Code Ordinance - has been held, waiting for the codification of our Code Book by Attorney Connor's Office. It was questioned why we must wait for that – put business on hold - during what may take a year or two? City Administrator Krider said she would check with Attorney Connor.

9. New Business

a. Enterprise Zone: Two weeks ago we were contacted about a hearing on January 3, 2018, but with the holidays, there was no way we could be prepared for that hearing. Hopefully our Economic Development Coordinator can ask to have these hearings communicated to us sooner.

b. Review of Budget Draft: City Administrator asked that the Committee check out the Budget Draft for Fiscal Year 2019 for their Committee. This will be an ongoing project for the next few months.

10. No Public Comment was offered.

11. Motion to Adjourn was made by Alderperson Goranson at 7:26 p.m. and seconded by Alderperson Siewert. Motion carried.

The next regular meeting of the Land Use Committee is Wednesday, February 17, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.
