City of Chillicothe Economic Development Committee met Jan. 24.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Present: Chairman Dan Colwell, Mayor White, Aldermen Connor, Jenkins, and Economic Development Director Parker, Office Manager Denise Passage and City Engineer Ken Coulter
Alderman Colwell called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. The Mayor went over the roof proposals the city received for the Bacon Building. Because of the vast differences between the dollar amounts of the bids the Mayor was going to call both the companies back to get further detail of the work that would be performed. The consensus was to go with Energy Resource Roofing, they had the best price and would do what needed to be done to fix the roof.
The budget for Economic Development projects and programs was laid out. Discussion took place in regards to TIF projects and what stages the projects are at so that if they run over into the next fiscal year they would be carried over properly. Manager Passage stated that we have to make sure funding is in place to payout for those projects. Also in anticipation of future projects the committee feels might take place funds are allocated in the right line categories.
There were no major changes in the line items on the budget. The city engineer will be getting back to Rachael or Denise with numbers for the cost of some of the road work that take place in the next fiscal year.
There being no further business meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
