Toluca-Rutland FPD responds to 25 fires in 2017

Toluca-Rutland Fire Protection District responded to 30 calls in 2017 - 30.4 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Toluca-Rutland included 25 fires - eight structure fires, two vehicle fires and 15 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $194,500 in fire loss - or about $7,780 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Toluca-Rutland Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $530,563 in 2017.
