Bellevue Village Board met June 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Village Council, of the Village of Bellevue, Peoria County, Illinois, met in Regular Session June 12, 2018. Chairman Johnson, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Chairman Johnson, directed Clerk Wilson, to call Roll.

Present:

Chairman, Terry Johnson

Trustees:

Aaron Lannert, Leroy Wiseman, Dean Merriman, Francis Heskett

Also, Present:

Superintendent, Steve Wilson

Village Attorney, Lane Alster

Peoria County Officer, Zach Ferguson

Zoning Officer, Matt Raible

Absent:

Trustee, Chad Murphy, Trustee, Marty Schuettler

Chairman Johnson, declared a Quorum present.

The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting, May 22, 2018, were presented. Motion Trustee Wiseman, second Trustee Lannert, that the Council approve Minutes as presented.

Motion carried via voce vote

Motion Trustee Merriman, second Trustee Lannert, bills as presented be paid and the payrolls and transfers be approved.

Roll Call Vote was:

Ayes: Lannert, Wiseman, Merriman, Heskett

Nays: None

Absent: Trustee, Chad Murphy, Trustee, Marty Schuettler

Chairman Johnson declared motion carried.

Chairman Johnson- Addressed with the Board, the proposed action of putting town garbage disposal, out for bid. Board members discussed how the Village of Bellevue, would go about paying for town wide disposal service. Residents, Steve Wilson and Crystal Murphy, expressed they did not agree, with collecting garbage fees, from resident’s taxes. Fee’s would be based, on individual resident’s tax amount. Steve Wilson, expressed, that garbage collection fees would not be done fairly. Attorney, Alster, would check to see if this process is a fair way, to handle resident’s garbage fee’s.

Speaker, Officer, Ferguson- Informed the Member’s, that a body cam has currently been installed. Officer, Ferguson, located the owners of two motorized bikes and is working on the situation, resident’s complaints. Ferguson advised of a S-10 truck being stolen, in the neighborhood. Ferguson, warned Members of credit scammers being reported.

Speaker, Terry Elston- Inquired about Charr Inn, has anything been done?

Chairman, Johnson- Responded to Mr. Elston, that grass has been mowed.

Trustee, Lannert- Asked, Attorney, Alster, about burnt down house on Anna St. Attorney, Alster, said that hearing was late June, early July, and it would take one month, to demolish. Informed that Closen Rd., hearing was June 22, 15-day notice.

Chairman, Johnson- Advised, Zoning Officer, Raible, to issue ticket, for R.O.W., on Closen Rd. Chairman, Johnson, talked with Members, about current lease, for Samsung copier. Discussed how much has been spent, to lease machine. Advised, Members of the Board, that Board would have been better off buying a machine. Village will look into buying copier, compared to leasing options.

Motion Trustee Lannert, second Trustee Wiseman, to close the meeting

Ayes: Lannert, Wiseman, Merriman, Heskett

Nays: None

Absent: Trustee, Chad Murphy, Trustee, Marty Schuettler

Chairman Johnson, announced, that there being no further business the Council meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
