City of Newman issued the following announcement on July 12.
The City of Newman is accepting applications for one (1) Recreation Director/Community Liaison position to perform a variety of work in connection with recreation programs, perform administrative duties, to plan, coordinate and implement a high-level comprehensive communication marketing and community relation programs for the City. Market and publicize all City department programs and services; includes performing a variety of assignments in support of the City Council and the City Manager’s office. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in developing, scheduling, and conducting a variety of recreational activities and events for participants at assigned recreation facilities and for performing a wide variety of customer service activities. Assist with the management of the City’s neighborhood preservation program through support of the Community Service Officer. This is a full-time position with the City of Newman whereby it is anticipated that equal time will be devoted to the functions of each role.
