CITY OF EL PASO: City Wide Clean Up in October

Citywidecleanup

City of El Paso issued the following announcement on Sept. 20.

CITY WIDE CLEANUP DAYS

The purpose of clean up days is not to dispose of trash but rather to dispose of large items that the trash services do not pick up on a weekly basis. Some of these items include: furniture, appliances, mattresses and carpeting.

The City WILL NOT pick up electronics such as TV's or computers, building materials, tires or any items that the trash collector will pick up.

The City will attempt to schedule an independent contractor for an electronics drop off. We will post the date and location on this website when they become available. PLEASE do not leave electronics at the recycling building!

Items for pick up must be placed on the curb at your residence no later than 7 AM on the appropriate date. One large item per household will be collected with no charge. Residents over 65 may put out an additional large item at no charge. Additional item at no charge. Additional large items will be picked up for a small fee of $10 per item. Households placing more than one tractor bucket load out will be charged a small fee of $10 per load.

Pick up dates will be:

Monday, October 1, 2018 from the east side of the walking trail and the north side of the railroad tracks.

Monday, October 8, 2018 from the west side of walking trail and north side of the railroad tracks.
