CITY OF LEXINGTON: Rescission of STATE OF EMERGENCY by Lexington Mayor

City of Lexington issued the following announcement on Sept. 21.

Mayor Newell Clark executed a Proclamation declaring a STATE OF EMERGENCY due to the probability of imminent threats from Hurricane Florence effective September 14, 2018. Citizens were notified to be advised and take necessary precautions and preparations.

Now that the aftermath of Hurricane Florence has been assessed and the vast majority of restoration complete, Mayor Newell Clark has declared an end to the State of Emergency effective September 21, 2018 as of midnight.

City officials remain empathetic to the devastation many of our fellow North Carolinians have sustained and stand ready to provide support as called upon.
