City of Chillicothe Marketing & Tourism Commission met November 7.
Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:
Members Present, Amanda Oedewaldt, Kevin Yates, Amanda Beadles, Tiffany Moore, Joe Harper, Nick Mc Million, Trianna Kientzel, Patty Pierson, Mayor White, Director Parker
Members Absent: Dan Colwell, Paresh Patel, Shirley Loser, Michele Pollack, Patty Pierson, , Nathenia Zich, Nick Mc Million, Kaci Geier, Nancie Cassidy
The meeting was called to order at 3:32 p.m.
Budget Review – Mayor White went over the M & T budget and the numbers had not changed much since last month. There are a few bills still outstanding but overall we are working within our budget guidelines.
Christmas Decorations- Director Parker shared that we have gotten permission from IDOT to hang the large wreaths on 4th Street this year. Our public works men will have them up before the parade on Nov. 17th. Also the decorations for Second Street will be the holiday banner and wreath/bows on every other pole. All downtown businesses received a Christmas wreath that they were asked to decorate and hang on their front door or in their front window. Those wreaths were donated to the City from Amanda Odewaldt.
Old Business:
CGI Progress – Director Parker stated that the video is complete and she will forward the email of the video to all of the committee members. She is working with CGI to get it uploaded onto the City’s website.
PACVB – Trianna shared the report that they put out that shows what marketing the PACVB have done for the City of Chillicothe. That information was emailed to all of our aldermen and Mayor. She passed out hard copies of the report to the committee.
Brian Fox Ellis Update - Kevin reported that the event will be taking place on Sunday November 11th at 2:00 @ Shore Acres. The event is free. Patty mentioned that the Historical Society will have light refreshments and will be accepting donations.
Billboard Update-Chamber – Tiffany reported that the promoting of the billboard is going very well. The only slot she has open in next September. She mentioned that the Chamber and The City will be co-sponsoring the billboard in December to encourage folks to shop local.
Event Sub Committee Update- No update at this time.
