Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Tazewell County?

There were 34 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Tazewell County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 29 men and five women were released in Tazewell County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 38. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2019, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Marquis C. Huff. He was convicted of a property crime in 2015 when he was 27 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Tazewell County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
