Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Tazewell County?

There were 23 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Tazewell County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 18 men and five women were released in Tazewell County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 52-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Kevin H. Dietz. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 25 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
