Peoria conservative activist says 'follow the money' when it comes to looting, rioting

Gary McCullough, a conservative activist and concerned citizen of Peoria County, recently discussed his thoughts on the rioting, looting, and unrest happening in the United States.

McCullough believes the wrong approach is having the conversation about if there are any situations where rioting and looting are acceptable. He finds it vital to: "follow the money."

"We were on a plane. There were ANTIFA members on the plane. So now these people aren't going to travel from here to there on their own pocketbook. They're being paid so who are they being paid by?" McCullough told the Peoria Standard, "These people aren't going to travel from Los Angeles to Chicago because they have ideologies that they feel that strongly about. They're going to do it in their own city and no one, no protester or rioter, is going to tear up their own city that they live in, so that's another indication that these rioters are from out of town and again, being paid for."

When it comes to what businesses become a target for being looted, McCullough does not believe the ethnicity of the business owner plays a factor.

"Whatever ethnicity makes no difference. The rioters are not discriminatory. They tear up the Black, the Asian, the White, all alike," McCullough said.

McCullough talked about how people are evacuating big cities, and a reason is that some leaders haven't cracked down hard enough on arson and looting.

"For instance, Mayor [Lori] Lightfoot, it's OK in Chicago as long as it's not in her area of residence. She kept the rioters and looters out of her residential area because she felt threatened so if she felt threatened, why wouldn't the Populus of Chicago feel threatened to have it done in their residence area?" McCullough continued,
