City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
For those wanting brush picked up as part of Fall Cleanup Week, you must call 309-698-4716 no later than Wednesday, October 14 to have your address placed on a list. Brush collection will occur the week of October 11
Here's what you need to know about brush pickup: Tree limbs must be stacked with the ends facing the curb and should not be in landscape waste bags. Nothing over 3 inches in diameter or longer than 4 feet will be accepted. Leaves and grass clippings are not included. The brush pile size cannot be larger than 4 feet wide, 4 feet high and 8 feet long, which is approximately the size of the bed of a normal pickup truck. Additional brush not meeting the pile size will be left and it will be the homeowner’s or tenant’s responsibility for proper disposal.
