City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Oct. 11.
Open burning of dry yard waste is allowed in East Peoria starting Thursday, October 15 and continuing through Monday, November 30. Those burning brush and yard waste must follow the rules, including only burning vegetation and only during daylight hours.
