City of Minonk issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
Tonya Minz, Minonk’s Emergency Mangement Director, has announced the cancellation of their annual Haunted House this year due to COVID-19. The decision was made to ensure the safety and well being of our community and surrounding areas. Plans are in process already to make next years Haunted House bigger and better. However, this is the only fundraiser they hold for the entire year to raise money for equipment. If anyone would like to still donate, you can send or drop off monetary donations made out to the “Minonk ESDA Association” to the City of Minonk at 670 N. Chestnut St. Minonk IL, 61760.
