ANY OTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE COMMISSION

Commission members discussed the history of the liquor commission being an advisory board and felt that any code changes pertaining to liquor should first go through the Liquor Commission for a recommendation to the Liquor Commissioner before going to Council for approval. Members discussed changing the code to allow for the sale of alcohol in dinner theatres or theatres with live performances. City Attorney suggested using the term live theatre as dinner theatre was too broad. Members also discussed changing the code to lift the residency requirement for liquor license applicants and managers. Mayor Luft suggested having a special meeting to review the code changes so that it could go to Council in August.

Motion to adjourn by Deputy Fire Chief Tony Rendleman and seconded by Commission Member Dr. Timm Schwartz. On roll call vote all present voted Aye. Motion carried.
