City of El Paso Beautification Committee met Oct. 24.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The City of El Paso Beautification Committee Meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm by Chairman, Mary Ellen Kilpatrick.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Roll call was taken with Council Members Jennifer Staulcup and Thad Mool present.
Others present were: Mayor, JW Price, Director of Public Service, Barry Kauther, and City Clerk, David Fever.
Also present via Zoom was Administrative Assistant, Sandee Kessinger.
Discussion was on future landscaping on the Front Street Sidewalk Project, the gazebo at Franklin Park and the recreation building at South Pointe Park. Kauther will look into getting designs from a landscape company and the Beautification Committee will look them over. The city employees may do the labor.
The City will plan to rent a stump grinder to remove the stumps from the trees that the City had cut down over the past few years. Some trees will be replaced per year according to the budget.
Staulcup motioned to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:38 pm.
