City of Chillicothe Police Commission met March 15.
Here are the minutes provided by the commission:
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 10:06 A.M. by Chairman, Gary Fyke. The following members were present:
a. Gary Fyke, Beau Ledbetter, Chuck Vail, Chief Cooper, and secretary, Shayne Jezek.
b. Absent: no one.
2. Approval of Minutes: Beau made a motion to approve the minutes of last month's meeting; Chuck second. The minutes of last month's meeting were approved, as all voted in favor.
3. Unfinished Business:
a. Chief Cooper reviewed the current social media promotion for new candidates. He also stated that a flyer will be created to distribute at local colleges and universities for recruitment. This promotion will run about 6 weeks with a possible new candidate testing date of May 6, 2023.
4. New Business:
a. Chief Cooper informed the Board that Officer Gondek will be off probation by our next month's meeting.
b. Chief Cooper also informed the Board that he received a lateral transfer application from Antonne Maxison.
5. Announcements: There were no new announcements at this time.
6. Public Comments: There were no public comments at this time.
7. Adjournment: The next meeting will be April 18, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. A motion to adjourn the meeting was made; all voted in favor, and the motion passed at 10:25 A.M.
