State Representative Ryan Spain (R-73rd District) is teaming up with the Illinois Department on Aging’s Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to host two informative events called "Medicare 101". These events aim to assist seniors in understanding the complexities of Medicare and make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage options.

During these events, experts from SHIP will provide insights and guidance on various aspects of Medicare. They will answer questions and help attendees gain a clearer understanding of the Medicare system. The goal is to empower seniors and their caregivers to navigate the Medicare maze effectively.

Representative Bradley Fritts will be partnering with Rep. Spain for the first event, "Medicare 101 - Rock Falls," which will take place on Monday, January 22, from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. at the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce in Rock Falls, IL.

The second event, "Medicare 101 - Peoria," will be held on Wednesday, January 31, from 10:30 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the Peoria Public Library - North Branch, McKenzie Room, in Peoria, IL.

Both events are free of charge and open to anyone interested in enhancing their understanding of Medicare. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and actively participate in these informative sessions.

For more information or to ask any questions, please contact Rep. Spain’s office at 217-782-8108.

The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free statewide health insurance counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. It is sponsored by the Illinois Department on Aging.
