Illinois Representative Weaver, along with her colleagues Reps. Amy Elik and Bradley Fritts, has returned to Springfield for the start of the Spring 2024 legislative session. With a focus on unleashing Illinois' potential, Rep. Weaver has outlined her top priorities for the session.

One of Rep. Weaver's key objectives is to restore the Invest in Kids Scholarship Program. This program aims to provide educational opportunities for children by offering scholarships to low-income families. Rep. Weaver believes in the importance of investing in the future of Illinois through quality education, stating, "We need to restore and expand the Invest in Kids Scholarship Program to ensure that every child has access to a quality education."

In addition to education, Rep. Weaver is determined to reduce taxes and regulations in the state. She recognizes the burden that high taxes and excessive regulations place on businesses and individuals, hindering economic growth. Rep. Weaver emphasizes the need to create a business-friendly environment, stating, "By reducing taxes and regulations, we can attract and retain businesses, creating more job opportunities for Illinois residents."

Furthermore, Rep. Weaver aims to invest in and develop Illinois' infrastructure, including physical, energy, and telecommunications networks. She believes that a modern and efficient infrastructure is crucial for the state's economic growth and competitiveness. Rep. Weaver asserts, "We must invest in our infrastructure to enhance connectivity, promote commerce, and attract new industries to Illinois."
