The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) has announced that they will be hosting an information session on the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant (OSLAD) Program. The virtual event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 15, at 11:00 a.m.
According to the IDNR, the OSLAD Program is a state-financed grant initiative designed to provide funding assistance to local government agencies for the acquisition and development of land for public parks and open space. The department also highlighted the similarities between OSLAD and the federal Land & Water Conservation Fund program, both of which are managed by the IDNR in Illinois.
Park districts and units of local government are encouraged to participate in the zoom event on May 15 to gain insights into the application process for the OSLAD grant and to learn more about how the program operates.
For those interested in attending, the IDNR has provided a link for the event: [OSLAD Grant Submission Webinar for Potential Applicants](insert link here).
