Due to forecasted high temperatures, the City of Peoria’s recycling, yard waste, and trash collections will begin one hour earlier starting on Tuesday, June 18. GFL will commence collections at 5 a.m. on that date, affecting all pickup routes for the rest of the week. Containers should be set out by 5 a.m. to avoid missed pickups.

To ensure timely collection, residents are advised to place their recycling, yard waste, and trash containers out by 5 a.m. on their scheduled day. After pickup, containers should be moved from the curb or alley within 24 hours and placed in a garage or alongside the house or garage. Residents are asked not to leave containers on the street or sidewalk.
