Ryan Spain receives Friend of Agriculture Award from local farm bureaus

State Representative Ryan Spain received the Illinois Farm Bureau's Friend of Agriculture Award this week. The recognition was presented by the Bureau County Farm Bureau and Lee County Farm Bureau. This award is given to members of the Illinois General Assembly who have shown strong support for agriculture in the state.

"Agriculture is a leading economic engine in Illinois, generating more than $51 billion in economic activity annually," said Spain. "Thank you to our farmers for the food you put on our tables and the jobs agriculture provides!"

The award highlights Spain's contributions and support towards the agricultural sector, which plays a significant role in Illinois' economy.
