State Senator Win Stoller was recognized for his contributions during a ceremony on the Senate Floor following the approval of Senate Resolution 1348. The resolution acknowledged his two terms of service and extended congratulations on his retirement from the Illinois General Assembly.
“It’s been an honor of my life to work with my colleagues in the State Senate to make Illinois a better place to live. I wish them all success as they continue this important work,” said Senator Stoller.
Senate members from both parties delivered speeches praising Senator Stoller's financial and business expertise, humility, and dedication to his faith.
“One of the highlights of this role was being able to meet so many people, from all walks of life, throughout the 37th District. One thing we have an abundance of in Illinois is good people,” he remarked.
Stoller was lauded for legislative achievements such as passing a State and Local Tax (SALT) workaround bill that provided significant relief to small businesses in Illinois without costing the state. He also played a key role in addressing the $4.5 billion deficit in the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund as a negotiator for Senate Republicans.
In addition to his political career, Stoller serves as CEO of Widmer Interiors in Peoria and intends to continue community service activities in various capacities within the Peoria area.
“It gives me comfort to know, as I leave this role that it will be in good hands with my successor, Li Arellano. I’m confident Li will do great things for the 37th District,” concluded Senator Stoller.
Li Arellano is set to be sworn in as representative for the 37th Senate District on January 8, 2025.
