A regular meeting of the Canton City Council was held on November 21, 2017 (6:30 pm) in the Council Chambers, The Donald E. Edwards Way-50 North 4th Avenue, Canton, Illinois 61520.

Alderman Jump asked to strike item #2 under Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel and will bring back the item at a later date. It is mutually agreed upon by the City and the Union to bring this back at a later date.

Comptroller's Report
Comptroller Lou Ann Armstrong reported that the City is at the six month mark in our budget and there is not anything significant standing out. All of the revenues and expenses are on budget. The City has received almost all of the property taxes. The City received a significant payment in the water/sewer fund this month from the Illinois Correctional Center. The correctional center now owes the City four months worth of water bills. The Correctional Center has historically run 2-3 months behind on their water payments,
