Report: Creve Coeur spent $11,191 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Creve Coeur School District 76 is up 28 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $8,726 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,191 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 644 to 595.

Creve Coeur's spending in 2016-17 was 14 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
