Chillicothe Human Resource Committee met Oct. 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Present: Chairman Colwell*, Alderman Connor*

Alderman Hughes*, Alderman Gould*

Alderman Sharp, City Clerk Hurd, Mayor White

Absent: Alderman Thornton*

Chairman called the meeting to order at 4:30pm.

Office Manager Passage informed the committee that Mass Mutual has decided to discontinue the Deferred Comp plan that all full time city employees are part of due to changes made by the Department of Labor.

Officer Manager Passage introduced Dennis Kistner, MasMutual representative to explain that MassMutual would no longer be servicing 457B Plans. He explained a proposed replacement plan that would include Dennis Kistner as Financial Advisor, National Benefit Services Inc. as Third Party Administrator and, an investment plan with Nationwide Financial.

Office Manger Passage presented a draft of the Social Media Policy. She explained that all municipalities have been encouraged to have a Social Media Policy for appropriate use by city personnel and elected officials. Office Manager Passage explained that all members of the Council have received a copy of the policy. It was the consensus of the committee to have the Social Media Policy placed on the October 8th Council Meeting for a first read and discussion.

Chairman Colwell asked to adjourn into closed session at 4:56 pm.

Office Manager Passage left the meeting at 4:56 pm. Committee returned to open session at 5:08 pm.

There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 5:08 pm.
