Report: 11.1% of Carl Sandburg College students repaying loans are in default

Out of 198 Carl Sandburg College students repaying loans in 2015, 22 were in default, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

That gives the two-year public school in Galesburg a default rate of 11.1 percent for that year – 4.9 percentage points lower than in 2014 and 0.3 points lower than in 2013.

Carl Sandburg College had 14 fewer students in default in 2015 than in 2014 and 2 more than in 2013.
