Report: Havana spent $10,886 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Havana Community Unit School District 126 is up 11.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mason County school district spent $9,785 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,886 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1088 to 946.

Havana's spending in 2017-18 was 18.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
