Analysis: Havana administrators rank 571st in state for average pay

Administrators in Havana Community Unit School District 126 earn an average of $91,482 per year, ranking 571st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 17.2% higher than in 2014 and 2.7% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 14.7% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Mason County school district enrolled 946 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 175 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
