City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Aug. 7.
Those struggling with rent or mortgage payments due to COVID-19 can to apply for emergency assistance through two Illinois Housing Development Authority programs. Application period is August 10-21 for rent and August 24-September 4 for mortgage.
