Longtime Lincoln Memorial Hospital CEO Dolan Dalpoas has been appointed as senior vice president and chief community impact and philanthropy officer at Memorial Health, effective October 27. In his new role, Dalpoas will oversee Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He will also be responsible for the five hospital foundations of Memorial Health and lead the organization’s community health improvement initiatives across the region.
Memorial Health president and CEO Mandy Eaton commented on the appointment. “Dolan is ideal for this role,” Eaton said. “Since joining LMH in 1994, he has dedicated his career to improving the health of the community where he was born and raised, as well as advocating for rural hospitals. I’m excited for him to bring that experience and passion to the entire Memorial Health organization.”
Dalpoas has led Lincoln Memorial Hospital as president and CEO since 2006. He has been recognized nationally among the top 50 critical access hospital CEOs in the United States. His academic background includes a bachelor of science degree from Daemen College in Amherst, New York, and a master of public health degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
In addition to his professional work, Dalpoas has served on boards of several community organizations in Lincoln such as Lincoln College, Lincoln Rotary, Lincoln Area YMCA, Springfield YMCA, and Lincoln Economic Advancement & Development.
A search process for a new president and CEO at Lincoln Memorial Hospital is expected to begin soon.
“Our critical access hospitals play an essential role in the communities they serve,” Dalpoas said. “I look forward to partnering with them to continue that great work in the years to come.”
