Cuba Fire Protection District responded to 48 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Cuba included 38 fires - 21 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 11 other fires.

In all, the department saw $222,000 in fire loss - or about $5,842 per fire.

The department also received 10 false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.
