OSF HealthCare has received the 2025 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This is the fourteenth consecutive year that OSF HealthCare has earned this distinction.

The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program evaluates how healthcare organizations use technology to improve patient care. The annual survey serves as a comprehensive assessment for organizations worldwide, measuring both basic and advanced digital health capabilities. Certification levels are awarded based on performance, with level 10 being the highest possible rating.

This year, OSF HealthCare achieved Level 9 certification in Ambulatory Care technology, Acute Care technology, and Long Term Acute Care settings. The Long Term Acute Care category was introduced this year. These results represent an improvement since 2019 when OSF was certified at Level 7 in both Ambulatory and Acute categories across its 17 hospitals.

“With over 48,000 care sites assessed annually, this achievement reflects the exceptional commitment and innovation of our IT division in advancing patient care through technology,” said David Hall, MD, senior vice president of information systems and chief information officer for OSF HealthCare. “This honor highlights the hard work of our analysts, technicians, clinicians, and innovators, and is a fitting recognition of OSF HealthCare’s commitment to rapid transformation in the digital health care space, allowing us to provide the greatest, most innovative care possible for our patients and those we serve.”

Each organization participating in the survey receives a customized benchmarking report with overall scores as well as individual segment scores. These segments include infrastructure; security; business/disaster recovery; administrative/supply chain; analytics/data management; interoperability/population health; patient engagement; and clinical quality/safety.
