Effective April 1, 2024, the intentional release of helium and other lighter-than-air balloons will be prohibited in the city of Waukegan. Beginning at 7 am on Monday, December 11, daytime rolling lane restrictions will go into effect on E Nebraska Avenue between Knoxville Avenue and N Wisconsin Avenue. These restrictions are necessary for the Nebraska Avenue Light Project and are expected to last five weeks, weather permitting.
